My life in a nutshell

I’m originally from Long Beach, CA where I grew up in the same house from birth
till I left for college. I had a fairly normal childhood: one older brother to
beat up on me, cats to cuddle with and loving parents. My mother is a
microbiologist for the county health department. She’s had the same job for 35
years. My dad was a technical writer and saftey inspector for McDonald Douglass
(now Boeing), but he passed away in 1992 from an unexpected heart attack.

Although my primary interest in high school was musical theatre, I decided to
go to Rochester Institute of Technology for Mechanical Engineering, no doubt
inspired by my father. I thought I would like to be an astronaut and I probably
still have some of that in me. But…it was really too dry for me and I changed
my mind after two years. I was accepted to Vanderbilt University where I
finished with a BS in Theatre and English in May of 2003. I completed my MBA
through the online program at University of Pheonix in 2006.
